5.2. Certificate Renewal

The suSSHi Gateway container uses a TLS certificate to secure communication between the suSSHi Gateway and suSSHi Chef. The certificate is automatically renewed by the gateway container before expiration.

If required, the certificate renewal process can also be triggered manually using the Renew Certificate button available on the gateway overview page.

Note

Renewing the certificate does not affect active SSH sessions on the gateway. However, establishing new connections may temporarily be unavailable for a few seconds while the renewed certificate is applied.
