4.6.5. Target Fusions EE

Target Fusions allow bundling one or more <target_user>@<target> combinations into a single named object that can be assigned to an Access Rule. This is useful when the same target user and target pairing needs to be reused across multiple rules, or when a set of related pairings should be managed as a unit.

There are two types of Target Fusions:

Target Fusion Link

A single, fixed combination of one target user and one target. The name of a Target Fusion Link is automatically set to <target_user>@<target> and cannot be changed manually. Only individual targets (not target groups) and login-type target users (not target user groups) are supported.

Target Fusion Group

A named collection of one or more Target Fusion Links. When a Target Fusion Group is assigned to an access rule, the rule applies to all pairings contained in the group. Target Fusion Groups cannot contain other Target Fusion Groups.

4.6.5.1. Usage in Access Rules

Both Target Fusion Links and Target Fusion Groups can be selected in the target fusion field of an access rule, in addition to or instead of individual targets and target users. When a Target Fusion is selected, the target user and target fields of the access rule are determined by the fusion definition.
